Specifications and construction
This page collects everything needed to reproduce the flag correctly, based on the 1998 to 1999 standardization prepared with the Flag Institute and passed into law on 11 November 1999.

How our files are built
Every file on this site is generated from one source of truth: the public domain sun path of the Wikimedia reference file, verified to have exactly 21 rays, placed at the specified half-height diameter. The download page offers the flag in both documented color sets, each clearly labeled.
Legal status
The Kurdistan National Assembly passed the flag law on 11 November 1999. The law is commonly cited as Law No. 14 of 1999; sources report the number inconsistently, and the primary text is not freely available online. Where certainty ends, this site says so.
